Toter Mann
About Toter Mann
The Toter Mann near Friedewald in the Hessian district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg is, at 480.3 m above ocean level NHN, the most astounding regular hill in the Seulingswald go. This little upland is the southernmost goad of the Fulda-Werra Uplands. The Toter Mann lies in the southernmost piece of the Seulingswald. Its summit is 2.5 kilometers north of Friedewald and lies on its civil domain. Its southwestern hillside lies in the region of Kathus, close Solz in the district of Bad Hersfeld.
Its western inclines are in the area of Meckbach, 3.8 km northwest of the summit, a town on the banks of the Meckbach, a tributary of the Fulda, and in the region of Ludwigsau. Its northeastern hillside is in the district of Ronshausen, which is navigated by the Fulda tributary of the Ulfe. The Fabdorf domain having a place with Ronshausen in the valley of the Breitenbach lies 4.1 km, straight from one point to the other, north of the summit. On the western inclines of the hill rises the Fulda tributary of the Meckbach with its numerous feeder streams for example the Kirchgrund, Salig and Finstertal.
