About Steinfeld
Steinfeld is a community in the Main Spessart district within the Regierungsbezirk of Lower Franconia in Bavaria, Germany and a member of the Administrative Community of Lohr am Main. Spoken here's a Main Franconia dialect according to the language Atlas of the Bavarian Library, Lower East Franconia. The population is regularly referred to as Steeflder Russe inside the nearby place. In 812, Steinfeld had its first documentary point out. In documents from that point, it is styled Steinvelt im Waldsassengove that is, the Waldsassengau, a mediaeval territorial unit. About 1200, Steinfeld had already become an impartial parish.
The Nested am Main Monastery raised entitlements to tithes. About 1336, the parish church was included into the monastery and then known as Nuwenstat. In 1614, new constructing paintings on the Parish Church of the Assumption of Mary changed into completed. In 1842 came diffusion to the nave. In 1806 it became a Baden mediatized Amt, which in 1819 changed into ceded to Austria, which then ceded it to Bavaria.
