About St. Nicholas Church, Leipzig
The St. Nicholas Church is one of the major temples of focal Leipzig, Germany. Development began in Romanesque style in 1165, yet in the sixteenth century, the congregation was transformed into a Gothic corridor church.
Florid components like the pinnacle were included the eighteenth century. In the eighteenth century, a few works by Johann Sebastian Bach, who was the music executive of Nikolaikirche and of St.
Thomas Church from 1723– 50, debuted here.
The congregation rose to national notoriety in 1989 with the Monday Demonstrations when it turned into the focal point of serene rebel against comrade run the show. By limit, it is one of the biggest holy places in Saxony.
The present minister for this congregation is Bernhard Stief. Nikolaikirche has a limit of more than 1,400 seats.
