About St Andreas
The Church of St. Andreas is a Roman Catholic territory church orchestrated in the point of convergence of the German city of Düsseldorf. It is the religious community church of the adjacent gathering of Dominican Friars, who in like manner regulate the significantly more settled St. Lambertus Church. The assembly, dedicated to St. Andrew, was produced in the region of 1622 and 1629 in the South German excessive style. It was at first a Jesuit church and besides filled in as the court church for the Counts palatine of Neuburg.
The congregation is outfitted with stucco by Johannes Kuhn from Strassburg and life-estimate figures of the missionaries and of holy people of the Society of Jesus. The organ backpedals to an instrument worked in 1782 by Peter Kemper, in a bundling by Bernhard Orlinski and Josef Zimmermann. In World War II the organ was hurt. it was restored and stretched out by 18 stops In 1953, by the organ designer Fabritius. In 1970/71 and again in 2003, the organ was restored by Rudolf von Beckerath Orgelbau.
