About Seesen
Seesen is a town inside the district of Goslar, Lower Saxony, on the northwestern edge of the Harz among Gottingen and Hanover. It became first stated in files in 974 and obtained city rights in 1428. Today Seesen has 19,900 inhabitants in step with city management on March 1, 2018 and remains nicely under the 20,000 inhabitant mark that is typically understood as a border from small to medium town. The area turned into created at a crossroads and have become the site of a royal courtroom. Otto II donated him to Gandersheim Abbey.
The lords of Woldenberg and the Hildesheim convent took over parts of the reign of the Billunger in nearby Ambergau. The call Seesen goes again to a lake, which has now disappeared.
