Old Castle

The Old Castle is a previous château situated on the Schillerplatz in Stuttgart, Germany. The stronghold, initially a Wasserburg going back to the tenth Century, was the living arrangement of the Counts and later a few Dukes of Württemberg and today are the home of the Landesmuseum Württemberg. The stronghold church is still capacities as a position of love. In 1931, the mansion's dirnitz and two towers were wrecked by flame.

The stronghold again observed harm, substantial parts of the ethnographic accumulation of the Landesmuseum Württemberg succumbing to flame, amid World War Two preceding being redesigned in 1971. Paul Schmitthenner redesigned the mansion in 1971.The arcaded patio of the mansion itself demonstrates compositional themes of early Renaissance from Italy. In the Landesmuseum's shows are Stone Age and Roman antiques, artistic creations, and describing of old territorial history.
