About Nymphenburg Palace
Nymphenburg Palace owes its establishment as a late spring home to the introduction of the hotly anticipated beneficiary to the position of authority, Max Emanuel, who was conceived in 1662 to the Baian Elector Ferdinand Maria and his significant other, Henriette Adelaide of Savoy, after somewhere in the range of ten years of marriage.
Elector Ferdinand Maria and Henriette Adelaide of Savoy, Sebastiano Bombelli, 1666. A site on the edge of the court lands, toward the west of the city and the Residenz, was decided for the new building – an area which, around then, was still some exit from Munich encompassed by open farmland.
