Neitersen

Neitersen is a neighborhood church in the district Altenkirchen in Rhineland Palatinate. It belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde Altenkirchen. On March 1, 1262 Countess Mechthild, the widow of Count Henry III. Von Sayn, with the Cologne Archbishop Conrad von Hochstaden a contract. In this report are also listed by means of call some servants, who reserved the countess for her very own services for life. During this time till the Reformation, state of the art Neitersen changed into a border metropolis belonging to two specific districts. The parish of Schoneberg with its villages, together with Neiterschen and Kahlhardt, changed into part of the Engersgau, which changed into managed by using Engers close to Koblenz. The parish Birnbach, to which Neitersen, Fladersbach and Niederolfen belonged, changed into positioned inside the Auelgau, which became managed from Siegburg. In the Auelgau and therefore also over the parish Birnbach Neitersen proper of the Wied the counts of Sayn had become the sovereigns. Only on July 5, 1489 came the parish Schoneberg Neitersen left the Wied finally to the residence Sayn.
