About Museum Ostwall

The Museum Ostwall is a gallery of current and contemporary craftsmanship in Dortmund, Germany.Dortmund's front line and contemporary workmanship display was set up in 1948 and moved to the Dortmunder U in 2010. In June 2009 the first building shut its entryways, and the historical center started moving into the U-Tower, where it revived under the new, abbreviated name Museum Ostwall in October 2010.

Right when the recorded concentration at first opened it exhibited the Expressionist and New Objectivity works that the Nazis had considered "compound workmanship", and the show passageway swelled with the entry of the Gröppel Collection in 1957.

Expressionism is 'starting at as of late the soul of the consistent show and there are pieces by specialists from both Die Brücke and Der Blaue Reiter, as Emil Nolde, Kandinsky, Kirchner, Franz Marc and August Macke.
