About Leipzig Zoological Garden

The Leipzig Zoological Garden also known by the name of the Leipzig Zoo was opened in Leipzig, Germany on June 9, 1878.

It was assumed control by the city of Leipzig in 1920 after World War I and now covers around 27 hectares 67 sections of land and contains roughly 850 species.

It is famous widely for, Pongoland lodging gorilla, chimpanzee, bonobo, and orangutan and Gondwanaland which is world's second biggest indoor rainforest corridor.

It has reared more than 2,000 lions, 250 uncommon Siberian tigers, and different carnivores like bears. Leipzig Zoological Garden has been known as the "Zoo without bounds

One of Germany's most dynamic, Leipzig Zoo's emerge fascination is Gondwanaland, a jungly wonderland of 17,000 plants and 300 intriguing creatures.

Uncommon and imperiled species, for example, Komodo winged serpents and pigmy hippos wander around extensive walled in areas in an atmosphere controlled corridor in the midst of fragrant tropical plants.
