About Isted Lion
The Isted Lion is a Danish war landmark initially proposed as a landmark of the Danish triumph over German-disapproved Schleswig-Holstein radicals in the Battle of Isted Idstedt on 25 July 1850, amid the First Schleswig War which was a common war inside the Danish Realm, in spite of the fact that with troops from Prussia supporting the Schleswig-Holste in guerillas. At its time it was the biggest fight in Scandinavian history. Others saw it more as a commemoration for the Danish dead in the fight.
Initially raised in Flensburg, Schleswig amid still Danish guideline, it was moved to Berlin by Prussian specialists after Prussian triumphs in the Second Schleswig War of 1864 and stayed there until 1945. It was come back to Denmark as a blessing from the United States Army and was situated at Soren Kierkegaards Plads in Copenhagen. In September 2011 it was come back to Flensburg. The lion is gotten from the arms of Denmark and Schleswig which contain three and two blue lions, separately. So as to make an ideal picture of a lion, Bissen made a trip to Paris to examine a lion held in the Jardin des Plantes and made a real existence measure model before coming back to Denmark.
