About Ise
The Ise is a 43 km long, practically characteristic waterway of East Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It crosses the district of Gifhorn from north to south and releases into the Aller at Gifhorn itself. The wellspring of the Ise lies at a tallness of 74 meters above ocean level and its mouth at 51 meters. Its incline of 0.05% is extremely delicate. The waters of the Ise stream through the Aller and Weser into the North Sea. The Ise is framed west of Neuekrug in Saxony-Anhalt, promptly on the old Inner German fringe with Lower Saxony, by the conjunction of a few little streams.
In this Lower Saxony fringe area the stream regularly runs dry in summer, yet beneath the point where it is joined by the Rade discard its water stream is progressively steady. The Ise has a catchment zone of 421.1 square kilometers. This is cut up in a north-south heading by the Elbe Lateral Canal that streams at a stature of 65 meters above ocean level. The characteristic stream goes under the trench in ducts. The most significant tributaries of the Ise are the Bruno, Beberbach and Knesebach; others incorporate the Fulau, Gosebach, Isebeck, Momerbach and Riet. The catchment region of the Elbe starts east of the Ise region.
