About Haus Empel

House Empel is the demolish of a moated palace in Empel, an area of Rees in the region of Kleve in North Rhine-Westphalia. House Empel is first said in records in 1240 as the property of the knight Bernard von Rees. In an archive from 1256, the Good called emple and in the thirteenth and fourteenth century to a palace extended.
The remaining parts of House Empel remain on an island with the state of a somewhat misshaped rectangle. Southeast of it is a square zone encompassed by channels, which is partitioned into two equivalent parts by a way in the center. This is presumably the remaining parts of an extravagant garden. Access to Castle Island conceded a created press door on the southwest side about a large portion of their length from a parapet like delimited, bended divider.
