About Grobraschen
Grobraschen is a city in Lower Lusatia, in Germany. Administratively, its far part of the district of Oberspreewald Lausitz, inside the state of Brandenburg. Both Grobraschen and Kleinraschen were first noted in a respectable file in 1370. The shape of agreement and the name advocate that Kleinraschen is older than Grobraschen. The villages evolved slowly; the Wendish populace depended nearly entirely on agriculture.
From the center of the 19th century onwards, heavy industry evolved, and the villages grew unexpectedly. In 1965, they were granted the fame of a metropolis, having been integrated into one network in 1925. The 1980s brought the destruction of Buckgen, whose 4000 inhabitants had to depart their homes and have been moved into blocks of apartments. After the autumn of the Berlin Wall, the commercial decline glass production, brick manufacturing, mining and agriculture used to appear in the town's coat of hands precipitated heavy unemployment. Grobraschen is south of the Niederlausitzer Landrucken, a sandy stretch of land with pine forests in the centre of Lusatia.
