Eckernforde is a German town in Schleswig-Holstein, Kreis Rendsburg-Eckernforde, on the bank of the Baltic Sea around 30 km north-west of Kiel. The populace is around 23,000. Eckernforde is a well known visitor goal in northern Germany.
