About Diekholzen
Diekholzen is a municipality inside the district of Hildesheim in Lower Saxony. The municipality had 6,535 populations at the cease of 2014 and covers a place of 30.21 rectangular kilometers. The name of the municipality comes from pond and forest ago. As early as 1125, an area in the region referred to as Holthusen is mentioned. In 1267 is referred to as "Dicholthusen" for the primary time. In 1597 the location became noted as "Dicholthusen".
