About Brackenheim
Brackenheim is a town in the Landkreis Heilbronn in Baden-Wurttemberg in southern Germany. It is 15 kilometers southwest of Heilbronn. With 826 hectares of vineyards, it is the most important grape growing municipality of Wurttemberg. His communal land of Brackenheim has been settled for 5,000 to 6,000 years. Botenheim and Meimsheim have been cited in the 12th century Brackenheim was referred to in 1246. Brackenheim acquired its metropolis rights through King Rudolf I. Von Habsburg in 1280. After a large fire in 1691 burning down 112 houses, the metropolis had to be rebuilt in many places. Owing to the communal reform from 1971 to 1974, the preceding impartial groups now representing districts had been incorporated.
The energetic construction of building has stuffed inside the spaces previously between the districts and led to a massive growth of the population in Brackenheim. During 1995 to 2004 the town expanded by about 2,700 population. Brackenheim is located at the river Zaber inside the Zabergau in southwestern district of Heilbronn, in the north of Baden Wurttemberg, Germany. The landscape is characterized by way of extensive vineyards.
