About Berlin Cathedral

Not so much a place of God, as it has never been the seat for a minister, this asylum on Museum island is so far Berlin's most basic Protestant church. It's the fourth church at this setting close by the Spree, in a line that retreats to 1451. The present place of God is in the indulgent Historicist style and was done in 1904. Underneath, enter the Hohenzollern Crypt, the resting place for the House of Hohenzollern, which made Prussian Kings and German Emperors.

Berlin Cathedral kept up hurt in the Second World War when the light in the vault was crushed, however, the building never fallen and has transformed into another ethical story for Berlin. Recovery began in the 1970s and took until 1993. Through the gateway, there's an abundance of goldwork, mosaics, frame and a mosaic cut from marble and onyx by the nineteenth-century modeler Friedrich August Stuler.
