About Bedburg
Bedburg is a city in the Rhineland in North Rhine Westphalia with approximately 25,000 population. It belongs to the Rhein Erft Kreis within the district of Cologne. Since 2011 she has the status of a middle circle town. The region Bedburg become first referred to in 893 because the Betbure in the Urbar of the abbey Prum and for the primary time in 1295 as a city oppidum. In the 12th century, the Counts of Saffenberg had owned Bedburg; they were inherited in 1175, after their extinction, via the Earls of Sayn.
