Aalen

Aalen is a former free Imperial City placed in the eastern part of the German country of Baden Wurttemberg, about 70 kilometers east of Stuttgart and 48 kilometers north of Ulm. It is the seat of the Ostalbkreis district and is its largest metropolis. It is also the largest city in the Ostwurttemberg location. Since 1956, Aalen has had the popularity of Grobe Kreisstadt. It is mentioned for its many half timbered homes comprised of the 16^th century through the 18^th century. With a place of 146.63 km², Aalen is ranked 7th in Baden Wurttemberg and 2nd in the Government Region of Stuttgart, after Stuttgart. With a population of about 66,000, Aalen is the 15th most populated agreement in Baden Wurttemberg.

Numerous stays of early civilization had been found in the location. Tools product of flint and traces of Mesolithic human agreement dated among the 8^th and 5^th millennium BC have been discovered on several websites on the margins of the Kocher and Jagst valleys. On the Schlobbaufeld plateau situated at the back of Kocher burg citadel close to Unterkochen, a hill top settlement was observed, with the center being dated to the Bronze Age.
