Turtle Lake

Turtle Lake is a little repository situated in the locale of Vake-Saburtalo of the Tbilisi city on the stature of very nearly 700m over the ocean level.

It is comfortably arranged on the left precipice of the Mount Mtatsminda, overshadowing the Vake Park and the Ethnographic Museum.

Once there were numerous turtles, this is the means by which the lake got its name.

They are still there, however not the same number of as previously.

When it is warm near, the Turtle Lake transforms into a most loved place for strolling, rest and games preparing for local people as well as visitors of Tbilisi.

The lake gets waters of the mountain waterway Varaziskhevi and encompassed by thick woodland.

There are pleasant pebbled shorelines with deckchairs, comfortable bistros, and play areas for youngsters, sports grounds and a running track around the lake.

You can ride on sailboat, swim and sunbathe, and afterward go out for a stroll along the bluffs where you get the captivating perspective of the city.
