About Villeneuve sur Lot
Villeneuve sur Lot is a town and collective in the southwestern French branch of Lot-et-Garonne. The cooperative was previously named Villeneuve-d'Agen. Villeneuve-sur-Lot is found 22 km upper east of the cooperative of Agen and straddles the stream Lot. The fundamental quarter of the town is situated on the correct bank of the Lot River and is connected to the quarter on the left bank by a scaffold from the 13th century, the foremost curve of which, developed amid the reign of Louis XIII instead of two more seasoned curves, has a range of 36 meters 118 ft and a tallness of 18 meters 59 ft.
On the left bank, bits of the 13th century defenses, adjusted and surmounted by machicolations of the 15th century, remain, and high square towers ascend over the doors toward the north-east and southwest, referred to individually as the Porte de Paris and Porte de Pujols. The Pont De La Liberation, which traverses the Lot stream, is a 96.2 meters curve connect worked somewhere in the range of 1910 and 1919. When it was finished it was the biggest single range solid curve on the planet. It was structured by Eugene Freyssinet, one of the pioneers in utilizing strengthened cement.
