About Tomi Ungerer Museum
It is a historical center in Strasbourg in the Bas-Rhin branch of France. Opened in November 2007, it is devoted to crafted by Strasbourg-conceived craftsman Tomi Ungerer and showcases 8,000 realistic works of all kind by Ungerer and some of his most acclaimed partners Saul Steinberg, Ronald Searle, Andre Francois... and in addition Ungerer's substantial accumulation of old toys and standard, unique displays.
The historical center is situated in one portion of the previous Villa Greiner, an extensive manor worked in 1884, and spread more than three stories. The ground floor is devoted to Ungerer's work as a youngsters' book artist, the principal floor is committed to his role as a political caricaturist and mocking visual artist. The cellar not available for kids is devoted to his suggestive and semi-obscene illustrations. The Museum is set inside an especially flawless garden.
