About The House of Magic Robert-Houdin
The House of Magic Robert-Houdin is an exhibition hall which faces the Royal Chateau de Blois. It is situated in the Loir-et-Cher department in the Loire Valley, in France, in the focal point of the city of Blois. As a historical center of France and bearing the official name of "Musee de France", it is the main open exhibition hall in Europe which joins in a single spot accumulations of enchantment and a site for lasting performing arts. The formation of such a site is straightforwardly connected to the identity of Jean-Eugene Robert-Houdin, a well known French illusionist conceived in Blois in 1805.
Features include: The 600 mythical serpent machine, which was built by specialists Michel and Jean-Pierre Hartmann and which works each hour; the rotunda, which contains curios and shows on the historical backdrop of enchantment, pictures and music; the Greek sanctuary respecting performers of the Middle Ages, the physicist Pinetti, and virtuoso innovator Buatier De Kolta; an actual existence measured kaleidoscope and the 'chessboard of the optical illusions'; an article of "The firm of Robert-Houdin fabulous", showing his watchmaking workshop, logical research otherworldly specialty and 'the puzzling clock'.
