About Saint-Louis Church
St. Louis Church is a Roman Catholic Church in Grenoble, France. At the demand of the diocesan Etienne Le Camus, the main stone of Saint-Louis church was worked somewhere in the range of 1689 and 1699. Claude mollard, a ruler's designer and nearby planner, drew up the plans as indicated by the established French style. For reasons of economy, the engineering is purposely sober. There is a groined vault in the nave, a semi round barrel-vault in the arms of the transept, and a dome commanding the transept crossing. The real organ supplanted the organ from Saint-Antoine-l'Abbaye brought here in September 1805 and exchanged back to St Antoine in 1980.
The new organ is crafted by the French organ developer Bartolome Formentelli. It is more total than the previous one as it has sixty-one keys rather than forty. The recolored glass windows are unmistakably with two unique styles some go back to 1925 and embellish four windows of the paths. The others go back to 1934 and enhance both the lower and higher windows at the closures of the transept. The stain-glass windows were delivered by the ace glass-producer Louis Balmet. Outside, a dark marble plaque bears a Latin engraving which implies Louis the Great raised this house for the Lord in the year 1699.
