About Potager du roi

Potager du Roi, the kitchen garden of the Palace of Versailles, has had a long history as a position of agricultural direction and advancement. The garden was made by Jean-Baptiste de La Quintinie 1626-88, a specialist planter and agronomist, and French planner Jules Hardouin-Mansart 1646-1708 amid 1678-99, to satisfy King Louis XIV's vision of making the most amazing royal residence on the planet.
