Pavillon Vendome
About Pavillon Vendome
The Pavillon Vendome is a noteworthy structure encompassed by a French formal patio nursery found 32 mourn Celony in Aix-en-Provence, France. It was worked by engineer Pierre Pavillon somewhere in the range of 1665 and 1667. It was appointed by for Louis, Duke of Vendome as a spot where he could take his darling, Lucrece de Forbin Sollies, otherwise called "la Belle du Canet". He kicked the bucket in the house on August 6, 1669. Afterward, it was possessed by the painter Jean-Baptiste van Loo, who had a studio there.
It was therefore bought by Barthelemy-Louis Reboul, Secretary of the Academie des Sciences, Agriculture, Arts et Belles Lettres d'Aix. After the French Revolution of 1789, it was bought by Jean-Joseph-Pierre Guigou, who was Bishop of Angouleme, who transformed it into a Catholic all inclusive school for young ladies. In 1906, it was bought by Henri Dobler, a Swiss craftsmanship gatherer, painter and artist.
He gave it to the city of Aix-en-Provence after his demise. It has filled in as a historical center from that point forward. It is home to impermanent workmanship presentations. The house has been recorded as a Monument historique since March 27, 1914, and the patio nursery since October 15, 1953.
