Opened to the public in April 2003, the park Raymond Sibille belongs to the general council of the Hauts-de-Seine which put it at the disposal of the city of Antony at the end of 2002. This park of 1.55 hectare located in Antony in the Hauts-de-Seine is remarkable for its trees.
The history of this park is old since it is already on a map of 1674. Inside this park, several properties have succeeded one another. One remembers in particular the Velpeau property of the famous surgeon Alfred Velpeau , inventor of the band that still bears his name, who lived there a retreat of seven years before his death in 1867. In 1815, the property belongs to Mr. Ballainvilliers. Madame Velpeau, the wife of the famous surgeon inherits it.
The park is open from 7.45 am to 7.45 pm all year round. Entrance of this park is Avenue Leon-Blum, Maurice-Labrousse Street. The park is accessible to people with reduced mobility. The park has 1 playground for children from 2 to 10 years old. Different species of trees recently planted are to be discovered are Chicot Canada, Metasequoia, Father David's maples, Nothofagus, Japanese umbrella pine. This is one of the famous park in the city.
