Parc du Mugel

The Parc du Mugel is a city park and greenhouse in the town of La Ciotat, in the French division of Bouches-du-Rhone, on the Mediterranean shore of France among Marseille and Toulon. It is recorded among the Notable Gardens of France by the French Ministry of Culture. The park, twelve hectares in size, is situated on the edge of the calanque of La Ciotat, a rough bay of the Mediterranean, and has a little shoreline on the calanque.

It is at the foot of a huge shake, Le Bec d'Aigle, 155 meters high, which protects the site from the breeze, while the Mediterranean warms it in the winter, and holds the temperature down in the mid year. The tropical garden contains thirty unique types of palm trees, just as mimosa, bougainvillia, bamboo, banana, and other tropical plants. It additionally includes a greenery enclosure of fragrant plants. A greenhouse of lavander is planted just beneath the principle house.
