Notre Dame de la Daurade

Notre-Dame-de-la-Daurade dominates the banks of the Garonne with its stone facade. This church is home to the Black Virgin, protector of the city of Toulouse, adorned with an exceptional wardrobe custom-made by great couturiers. His story begins in the fifth century. Built on the remains of a Roman temple, its decoration favored the golden mosaics hence its name of Daurade.
