About Museum of Grenoble

The Museum of Grenoble is a metropolitan historical center of Fine Arts and relics in the city of Grenoble in the Isere district of France. The Museum of Grenoble was established on 16 February 1798 by Louis-Joseph Jay, a long time before other French commonplace exhibition halls. That day, a request of the nearby organization itemized the production of an exhibition hall in Grenoble, in which article 10 stipulated that the national Louis-Joseph Jay is named guardian of this gallery.
In May of that year, the Interior Minister dropped the making of the exhibition hall however a temporary approval was gotten in December, which ended up last on 3 April 1800. Starting in 1799, while occupied with gathering masterpieces of the Isere Region, Jay asked for an open membership to buy artistic creations and illustrations. Housed in four corridors of the primary floor of the previous precinct from its opening on 31 December 1800, the exhibition hall had 298 masterpieces including 177 depictions, 80 illustrations or inscriptions and 45 figures put in the garden.
Every corridor had a name, the primary Hall of Apollo, was committed to French painters, the second Hall of Castor and Pollux, was given to Italian and French schools, the third Salon of Gladiator, had duplicates of the life of San Bruno by Eustache Lesueur, and the last lobby was called Hall of the Venus de Medici, showing craft of the Flemish school. A couple of months after its opening, the Concordat of 1801 by Napoleon Bonaparte constrained the departure of the premises of the exhibition hall to reestablish them to their unique reason.
