Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations

The Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations is a national gallery situated in Marseille, France. The exhibition hall is dedicated to European and Mediterranean civilisations.

An exceptional 21st century venture concentrating on the Mediterranean, the Museum of Civilizations of Europe and the Mediterranean MuCEM is housed on a site estimating very nearly 30,000 m2. The site incorporates the Fort Saint-Jean, a memorable landmark whose most seasoned components date from the twelfth century, disregarding the passageway to the Old Port, and the building planned by modeler Rudy Ricciotti on wharf J4, connected to the fortress by a skywalk.

Nearly 5,000 m2 is committed to presentation space. On the ground floor at J4, a permanent display investigates the riches and decent iety of Mediterranean human advancements, while the temporary display floor has four shows for each year, committed to social orders, places or individuals who have added to the Mediterranean personality.
