Musee des Beaux-Arts de Nice

The Jules Chéret Museum of Fine Arts is housed in a former Russian palace built in 1878 for the Ukrainian princess Kotschoubey. This vast residence inspired by 17th century Genoese palaces is a work of art in its own right.

It's a real treat to relax in the adjoining park while observing the valuable architectural work. But what about the collection in this beautiful setting. It takes place on two levels and is essentially composed of works donated by Napoleon III to the first Museum of Fine Arts in Nice .
