Musee des Beaux

Arts de Bordeaux : Located in the South and North galleries of the city hall garden, the Museum of Fine Arts in Bordeaux has a nice collection of works from the fifteenth to the twentieth century. The building is set in an idyllic setting. Indeed, the garden of the town hall presents a tasty marriage of greenery and colors. Trees and flower beds abound, which attracts romantic strollers inexorably.

But what surprises most is the museum's rather incongruous disposition: the two autonomous wings have their own entrance. The museum thus offers two separate and complementary buildings. Each wing retains a part of the collection, arranged in chronological order.

The North wing is dedicated to modern and contemporary painting .The South wing , meanwhile, spread over a wider period. There are many works of the Italian Renaissance, French works of the seventeenth century, productions of the Dutch school of the seventeenth century and a brief panorama of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
