About Musee des Annees Trente
The Musee des Annees Trente is a municipal museum specializing in the fine arts, ornamental expressions, and modern specialties of the 1930s. It is situated in the Espace Landowski at 28, Avenue Andre-Morizet, Boulogne-Billancourt, a western suburb of Paris, France. It is open day by day aside from Mondays and occasions. The nearest Paris Métro station is Marcel Sembat on Line. The museum was started in 1939 by Dr. Albert Besancon. After his demise in 1983, the historical center centered upon the 1930s, and in 1994 was moved into the Espace Landowski and given its present name.
It presently gives 3,000 m² of presentation space. Today, the museum holds around 1,500 figures, 800 works of art, and 20,000 illustrations, in addition to furniture, pottery, publications, and unique records. It likewise contains various African and abroad works from the previous Musee national des Arts d'Afrique et d'Oceanie, just as works by modelers Le Corbusier, Tony Garnier, Andre Lurcat, Robert Mallet-Stevens, Auguste Perret, and Jean Prouve; creators Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann and Jules Leleu; and striking inhabitants including Andre Malraux.
