Lons le Saunier
About Lons le Saunier
Lons-le-Saunier is a collective and capital of the Jura division in eastern France. The town is in the core of the Revermont district, at the foot of the primary level of the Jura massif. The Jura slope reaches out toward the east and south, while toward the west lies the plain of Bresse and toward the north broad vineyards. The River Valliere goes through the town, ascending in a regular Jura daze valley not far away, at Revigny.
It has been conduited since the 1960s on grounds of cleanliness, since sewage outlets keep running into it. A little segment stays in the outdoors close to the parc des Bains, and just a solitary scaffold the pont de la Guiche remains. The town is around similarly put between Besancon, Dijon, Bourg-en-Bresse and Geneva, however the remainder of these lies on the opposite side of the Jura massif. It is served by the A39 autoroute, by which Dijon can be come to in around an hour and Lyon in 90 minutes.
The town's railroad station lies on hold from Strasbourg to Lyon. The wine-developing district toward the north of the town is especially outstanding, and incorporates the vintages of l'Etoile, Chateau-Chalon and Arbois. The Jura ledge toward the south and east is a well known vacationer locale, with its attractions including the pools of Chalain, Clairvaux and Vouglans, and mountain resorts, for example, Prenovel and Les Rousses. As far as territory, Lons-le-Saunier is the second littlest prefectural town in France, after Bobigny.
