Lagny-sur-Marne is a town in the eastern rural areas of Paris, France. It is situated in the Seine-et-Marne office in the Ile-de-France 26.1 km from the focal point of Paris. The cooperative of Lagny-sur-Marne is a piece of the Val de Bussy part, one of the four areas in the "new town" of Marne-la-Vallee. From 644, Lagny-sur-Marne Was the site of Lagny Abbey, a religious community established That year, and after-ict decimation by the Normans refounded around 990. The religious community Was Seized by the state at the French Revolution and Its structures are utilized since 1842 as the workplaces of the district.
Amid the Middle Ages Lagny-sur-Marne was a standout amongst the most well known spots for vacationers in Northern France. In 1170, the youthful knight Baldwin of Bethune and his long lasting companion, William Marshal were at the court of Henry the Young King. In 1180 at the extraordinary universal competition of Lagny, Baldwin was a knight pennant, driving the Flemish group while William headed the English group.
