Garches

Garches is a collective in the western rural areas of Paris, France. It is found 11.9 km from the focal point of Paris. Garches has remained to a great extent private, but on the other hand is the area of Raymond Poincare University hospital, which has practical experience in traumatology, street mishaps and physiotherapy. The northern piece of Garches was to a great extent obliterated in the Battle of Buzenval on 19 January 1871, when attacked Parisian powers under Louis Jules Trochu endeavored to get through the German bar and join the French troops at Versailles. Landmarks in Rue du 19 janvier and Rue du Colonel de Rochebrune remember the occasions. Development of the congregation started in 1298 after the canonisation of St. Louis, as recorded on the plaque at the entrance.

It was the primary church in France devoted to St. Louis. The first church was incompletely demolished in the Battle of Buzenval; it was reconstructed in 1876 and reestablished starting in 1980 with the 19th century recolored glass windows and proceeding in 1983 with the total rebuilding and expansion of the organ. A ringer dated to 1787 was named a memorable landmark on 27 April 1944. The burial ground adjoining the congregation was moved in 1930 and contains the graves of some outstanding individuals, including jazz artist Sidney Bechet, who spent his last a very long time in Garches.
