About Fourviere
Fourvière is a district town of Lyon, France and furthermore a slope promptly west of the old piece of the town, rising unexpectedly from the river Saône and after that tenderly inclining down toward the north-west. It is the site of the first Roman settlement of Lugdunum 43 BC.
