About Fort Louvois

Fortress Louvois, which is referred to locally as Fort Chapus or Fort du Chapus, is a stronghold worked somewhere in the range of 1691 and 1694, amid the rule of Louis XIV, on the Chapus islet, and is around 400 meters seaward in the town of Bourcefranc-le-Chapus in the bureau of Charente-Maritime, France.
