About Eglise Saint-Sebastien de Nancy

Consecrated in 1732, St Sebastien church boasts a spectacular Baroque concave façade decorated with four large bas-reliefs and is the masterpiece of architect Jenesson. Inside, the three hall-style naves are lined with majestic Ionic columns. The lateral altars are by a member of the school of Nancy, Eugène Vallin.

The building stands in a district that was always very active and rich in craftsmen the ironworker Jean Lamour owned a house in this sector and manufacturers tanners, draperies, gold drummers. The district was born in 1589 by the will of the Duke Charles III who wanted to equal the modern Italian cities.
