About Cognac Public Garden

It is one of only a handful couple of English styled cultivates in France open to the overall population. The recreation center is the aftereffect of the marriage of the patio nurseries of two connecting properties; it houses the Hotel de Ville and the Museum of Art and History. The house known as Otard La Grange is obtained by the collective in 1889, the Hotel de Ville was introduced there in 1892.

Meanwhile engineer Alfred Leroux redeveloped the structure and included a ringer tower and stupendous staircase, while scene modeler Edouard Andre overhauled the recreation center into a depressed greenhouse and included a few water highlights. In 1921, the Dupuy d'Angeac house is obtained and transformed into the exhibition hall dependent on structures by Antoine Raymond Clavery. He additionally makes a characteristic amphitheater by exploiting the common undulation of the scene and consolidates the two patio nurseries.

He holds the style of Edouard Andre, though with limited back road ways and no further real prospect. In 1943, the patio nursery is grouped. The incredible tempest of December 1999 outcomes in the devastation of 288 trees out of 720. The open door is taken to restore the patio nursery under the course of scene draftsman Jean-Francois Galinette, who puts together his structures with respect to those of Clavery and Andre.
