About Chateau de Meung sur Loire
The Chateau de Meung sur Loire is a former fort and Episcopal palace in the commune of Meung sur Loire within the Loiret department of France. The chateau, located next to the collegial church, became the United States of America residence of the Bishops of Orleans. It was built and destroyed numerous instances. The oldest nonetheless present parts date from the 12th century and had been built by way of Manasses de Seignelay bishop from 1207 to 1221.
Still status is the primary square plan building, flanked by three towers, a fourth having been destroyed. It was occupied by using the English for the duration of the Hundred Years' War.
