Chateau de Fetan

The fort of Fetan is an old sixteenth century fortified house rebuilt in the 17th century, which stands on the commune of Trevoux in the department of Aim and the Auvergne-Rhone Alps vicinity. The fortress is the difficulty of a partial inscription as historic monuments by using order of January 30, 1973. In 15803, the land of Fetan became received by using Jean Thevenon, lord of Tavernost, lieutenant trendy on the bailiwick of Dombes, the sieur of Raffiniere, Gaspard and Benoit Dufour, Jean Bluison and the Bodillet brothers.

At that time a sturdy residence already existed in Fetan. August 30, 1585, Jean Thevenon resales to Antoine Jacquet, postmaster in Lyon, in want of which it become ennobled and erected in fief, in 16013 by means of Henri de Bourbon-Montpensier sovereign of Dombes on the expense of the tribute and 2 golden spurs with each vassal mutation. The gift castle of Fetan turned into built in 1622. This date is engraved under the corbelling of a watchtower.
