About Chapels of Versailles

The building's general plan, expansive glass windows and supports were roused by Gothic engineering. The sanctuary was devoted to Saint Louis, the benefactor holy person of the ruler and a predecessor of the illustrious house, and included references to the Sainte-Chapelle of Paris which he had established. Despite the fact that the inside height with its design on two stories takes after the standard arrangement for Palatine churches, its engineering with its forcing corridor on the primary floor was unmistakably enlivened by Antiquity. The vaulted roof, which Hardouin-Mansart outlined without transverse ribs to make a brought together surface, is devoted to the Holy Trinity: in the inside is God the Father in his Glory by Antoine Coypel, in the apse is The Resurrection by Charles de La Fosse, or more the Royal tribune is The Descent of the Holy Ghost by Jean Jouvenet.
