Bourdeau Park
About Bourdeau Park
Bourdeau Park is a 1.2 hectare public garden located in Antony in the Hauts-de-Seine. The property of the Bourdeau family, bought by the city in 1938, was completely renovated in 1921. This property is located at 20 rue Velpeau and classified as a historic monument. This Second Empire style house, in the heart of the park, appears on the plans of Antony after 1860. It is acquired in 1894 by Madame de Livio, widow of a former French consul. Their son Auguste de Livio, diplomat, minister plenipotentiary, retains the property until his death in 1931. Charles Bourdeau, son-in-law of the diplomat, who lives in Antony, inherits it. It became communal property in 1967. Occupied by the municipal library for more than twenty years, it is renovated from 1991.
Opening hours of this park is from 7:30 am to 9 pm, all year round. Access to the park is from 20 Velpeau Street or Louise Lane. The entrance is accessible to people with reduced mobility. The park offers a playground for children from 2 to 8 years old.
