Boulogne sur Mer often known as Boulogne is a coastal town in Northern France. It is a sub prefecture of the department of Pas de Calais. Boulogne lies at the Cote d Opal a touristic stretch of French coast on the English Channel among Calais and Normandy, and the most visited area in the vicinity after Lille conurbation. Boulogne is its department 2nd largest town after Calais, and the 60th largest in France. It is also the USA Biggest fishing port that specializes in herring.
