About Biarritz Aquarium
In the heart of Biarritz, facing the Rock of the Virgin, the Biarritz Aquarium opens its doors for an original discovery of the seabed.
You begin the visit in front of the aquariums of the Bay of Biscay: jellyfish, octopus, seahorses discover the species that populate our Atlantic coast. After a dip in the past through collections, the cetacean gallery and the history of fishing in the Basque Country, you enter the cave of turtles and rays for a surprising face to face.
Highlight of the visit: at 10:30 or 17:00, on the panoramic terrace, watch the animation around the seal meal.
The rest of the journey takes you through the Gulf Stream, from the Atlantic coast to the Caribbean Sea and ending in the Indo-Pacific Ocean.
A coral reef of 11m long is home to fish with original colors and improbable forms.
The giant aquarium where 7 species of sharks, including the amazing hammerhead sharks, are playing, is a spectacle to cut the blow.
