Ambert

Ambert is a small town in the Puy-de-Dome division, in eastern Auvergne. The peaceful, wonderful town is inside the appealing surroundings of the Natural Regional Park of Livradois-Forez. A structure quite compelling in Ambert is the 15th century gothic style Church of Saint-Jean. Surprisingly the square pinnacle, 50 meters high, is balanced to the other side of the exterior: was advised later it is conceivable to go up this belltower for exquisite perspectives yet didn't understand it was conceivable at the season of my visit.

The mairie in the town is likewise fascinating - a round structure that was in the past the town grain lobby. The town and area are generally visited for the encompassing scenes of slopes, fields and forests, untainted and perfect for strolling and cycling on the peaceful streets.
