About Ambares et Lagrave
Ambares-et-Lagrave is a collective in the Gironde office in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine locale of southwestern France. The occupants of the cooperative are known as Ambaresiens or Ambaresiennes. Ambares-et-Lagrave is a piece of the Bordeaux urban territory situated toward the north of the Bordeaux conurbation between the Garonne and Dordogne. The cooperative is for the most part urbane with little regions of timberland in the north and south and farmland in the west and north.
Ambares-et-Lagrave is encompassed by a few urban communities of the Urban Community of Bordeaux. In the 12th century the city of Ambares had a place with a huge medieval area containing an expansive piece of the swamps of Entre-deux-Mers Between two oceans. Later this territory turned into the Barony of Montferrand. The antiquated ward of Ambares was as a rule under the purview of the Lords of Gua who imposed tithes from the 15th century. The Lagrave region was appended to the collective of Ambares in 1818.
